Thessalia Merivaki

Lia Merivaki is Associate Professor at Georgetown University, with a joint appointment at the McCourt School of Public Policy, the Center for Tech and Public Policy, and the Massive Data Institute.  Lia is the co-director of the Election Officials Communications Tracker, a massive initiative that collects and analyzes data on state and local election officials' social media communication efforts during election cycles.In January 2026, Lia joined the Center for Democracy & Technology's Non-Resident Fellows Program, where she engages directly with CDT researchers to inform policy work, focusing on Elections & Democracy.
