As the Instant Runoff version of Ranked Choice has become an increasingly politicized and partisan issue, with Republican opposition to it at state and national levels, Consensus Choice provides a solution. It  improves the rule for determining the winner where ranked ballots are used. It also can allow voters to directly express a preference in head-to-head matchups on a general election ballot without needing ranked ballots.
